Updating Link Canonical with Category Override data
Hello,
NetSuite appears to have a flaw in their SEO generator; in particular with the Link Canonical rel.
From a Category, you can override the subcategory content with custom content. You can basically create a new category from an existing category via overrides.
When this happens, the breadcrumb trail is also updated to reflect the current path.
I happen to be doing this right now on our website. The drawback is that while the page content is unique (page title, name, description), the link canonical references the primary parent link.
