Season’s greetings to you and yours! As we head into the holidays (December 24 – January 4), we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible strength and collaboration within our community. Even during the break, you can continue to benefit from connecting with peers, searching related threads, posting your questions, and marking helpful replies as “Accepted” in the Support Community.
Please note our dedicated team will be on reduced coverage during this time, and regular responsiveness will resume on January 5. Wishing you a joyful and restful holiday season!

How to apportion inventory within a single location
Hi - we currently have one physical location for our inventory but have been using multiple locations in Netsuite to apportion our inventory for different channels Retail, B2B, VIP etc.
This is very admin intensive as we are constantly having to transfer inventory in the system when physically it is all in the same bin.
We therefore want to remove this admin by bringing everything together into a single Netsuite location. But we still need to be able to virtually apportion our stock as our different channels will have different stock levels assigned to them.
We have gone down the route of sales channels and using order reservations to try to ring fence certain inventory to a particular channel. The 2 main issues here are that we need to be able to change the priority of our sales channels depending on the time of year, and we really want to ring fence a buffer stock that will only be committed when the rest of the stock is consumed whereas Order reservations commit immediately.
