No GL impact when alternate BOM and Routing are used

We use standard cost accounting, and I have created and assigned an alternate BOM and associated routing for that BOM to an assembly. When I create the assembly, and do the work order close the GL impact is blank. The assembly standard cost is based on the default BOM and routing. Should I see costing?
