will using e-invoicing with transaction type BILL allow selfbilling?

one of our customers is an energy supplier. Some of the used energy is purchased from companies using PV installations. The customer currently creates it's own vendor bills for this type of purchasing.

The Peppol definition gives you an option to create xml files over Peppol to continue doing this. I would consider using the e-invoicing on the BILL transaction to do this.

will this work? Can I send out a type of XML self-bill with these functions?
