Updating Item Income Account with Transactions in Closed Period
Hi,
We’re trying to update the Income account on an item, but NetSuite blocks this since transactions already exist in a closed posting period.
Our need is slightly different: We want to update the income account on an item(that has historical transactions), but without reopening the closed period.
Has anyone found a way to update an item’s income account without reopening closed periods?
Is there any accounting preference (like “Ignore Closing Period When Updating G/L Accounts”)?
I see "....hidden preference Ignore Closing Period When Updating G/L Accounts is enabled or disabled" in the documentation related to the preference Do Not Update COGS and Asset Accounts on Existing Transactions When Accounts Are Changed.
