Calculate Avg of Balances for KPI Scorecard

I’m trying to create a custom KPI for a KPI Scorecard that calculates the sum of “as of” balances divided by the number of months to date, within a specific date range.
The challenge I’m facing is that when I apply a date filter, the “as of” balance values are not preserved — the KPI only reflects data from selected periods, rather than the intended historical balances.
I’m using a saved search where the balances are hardcoded to include only values up to July 2025, strictly for testing purposes. This search returns the sum of “as of” balances, and the idea is to divide that result by the number of months in the selected range.
