Auto-Populating Subcustomer Shipping Address on Parent Customer Transactions

We want to create Sales Orders or Quotes under a parent customer, but ship to a subcustomer’s default shipping address.

We are looking to implement a customization in our NetSuite account to enhance our sales order and quote workflows involving parent and subcustomer relationships.

Business Requirement:

When creating a Sales Order or Quote for a parent customer, we want to:

  1. Select a subcustomer from a custom field (this subcustomer represents the intended Ship-To entity).
  2. Automatically populate the Ship-To address on the transaction using the subcustomer's default shipping address.
  3. Keep the transaction under the parent customer (for billing and invoicing purposes), but fulfill and ship based on the subcustomer’s location.

Best regards,

Scott Kouri
