Intercompany Cross-Subsidiary Fulfillment Function with Non-inventory/Service Items

Hi, is it possible to use the intercompany cross-subsidiary fulfillment function with non-inventory items? I found help guides and YouTube videos on how to set this up for inventory, but I could not find a definitive answer on whether this is possible for non-inventory items or services. I would like Subsidiary A to sell to the external customer and Subsidiary B should fulfill the services sold by Subsidiary A. Is this possible? Thanks!
