WORK ORDER NOTES

Is it possible to configure our work order system so that when an item is added, a pop up note or sticky-style instruction automatically appears for the production team? Each item would have its own specific note, ideally stored in the item master or linked database. Can this be set up to trigger every time a work order is opened?
