Supply Chain Snapshot Past Horizon

On the Control Tower Preferences, I have the Past Horizon set to 60 days. Yet after the scheduled Supply Chain Snapshot has run, the Past Horizon is set to 14 days.

If I run a manual Snapshot from an item record, the Past Horizon is set to 14 days and greyed out. I have to enable REFRESH to change it to 50 days.

Any idea why?
