We tried to save a Sales Order and received the "This transaction includes items that post to revenue and items that post to deferred revenue" error. We receive this error on a regular basis and usually know how to fix it. Not this time…..

We went through the Sales Order deleting item-by-item to determine which item(s) was causing the error. When we deleted one Assembly item, the remainder of the Sales Order was able to be saved. Therefore, we think the we know which item is the problem.

For verification purposes, we then created a brand new test Sales Order. We added only that one problem item and, sure enough, when attempting to save the Sales Order, we received the "This transaction includes items that post to revenue and items that post to deferred revenue" error. Therefore, we are pretty sure that is the problem item.
