Automatic creation of work orders
We are a manufacturer. We have several assembly items that the BOM contains inventory items as well as other assembly items. Some of our top level assemblies contain 8-10 other assembly items nested underneath.
Right now, we manually create every single work order one at a time. This seems like an incredible waste of time. We were thinking there must be some way to automate this process.
The question is, is there? If we click on the link on a sales order to create a work order for an assembly item, is there any way that we can setup NetSuite so it builds that top level work order and any other work orders needed underneath at once? If so, does it look for an available quantity of assemblies first and not create a work order for that item if an available quantity exists?
