'Unexpected Error' on saved searches around time or expenses: coincided with 2026.1 release

We are getting 'an unexpected error has occurred' on saved searches that contain any expense or time transaction. This is with various finance roles. We added the permission Employee Access>Employee Administration>full per the following article. This resolved the error but also allowed visibility to employee records which contain sensitive data, which is not a viable solution.

Has anyone else encountered this error?
