SuiteScript - How can I get the value of the itemfilter from my custom transaction form?

Hi all,

So I have a suitelet that is building an ordering form by looking up the customers transaction history.

At this point, some of our customers have specific Sales Order forms with their own Item Filter searches so as to block certain items.

E.g. I have a workflow that when I select Customer MJE on an SO it will update the Form to MJE - Sales Order (217). The image below is the XML of that form record, which also shows itemfilter 5155 which is an Item type Saved Search blocking particular items from Sale to this customer.

What I'm trying to do in this function on my script is load the form that the Sales Order is using and then then Item Filter so that I can later push the filters on this Item Filter to dictate what items are presented to the customer when using the suitelet.

But at the moment, as shown by the logs I appear to be unable to get the itemfilter from the form record.

Is there a way I can log the full value of the form? This would perhaps help me debug the issue, as at the moment it gets cut off midway so I'm not actually sure if the itemfilter is in there.
I have logged out the full formRecord by paginating the logs with a character count and I can't find itemfilter nor the value I'm expecting 5115 anywhere in the logs. Is itemfilter just not available?

I can't find custform in the schema browser either.

Or better yet, is there a reason itemfilter is returning nothing?

Is it not the right value? It is itemfilter according to the XML and the internal ID.

You could try doing an https request to that URL where you're seeing the value and then using a library to parse out the value from itemfilter.

I tried a couple of ways and am not seeing a way to get it otherwise.

Thanks Splemp,

Would https not be supported or be largely difficult due to either of the following possibilities?

* requires authenticated session cookies
* parsing HTML/XML from UI endpoints is unsupported

I think I may just add a map in my script for now, but yea this is not ideal and will try to go for an https solution if you still feel that's the right pathway to try.

Parsing should be doable with a library (search XML → JSON), but the authentication session could be problematic, yes.

Your map idea looks reasonable.
