invoice billable customers (subscriptions)

Hi folks

I'm using the "invoice billable customers" functionality. There is a selection option for Invoice date. This does not work for us and in addition it defaults to the origin of our offshore owners HQ. I am told that this is NetSuite Native but if that is the case why is there an option to even select a date. Interested to hear thoughts or comments. Thanks!
