Clarification on OAC MCP Setup – Local Node.js Requirement and Scalability
I’m currently evaluating the Oracle Analytics Cloud MCP server (Preview) to integrate with an AI client such as Claude.
Based on the documentation, the setup requires installing the MCP connection utility and Node.js locally on each client machine, along with configuring the MCP JSON in the AI client.
I wanted to confirm the following:
- Is the current MCP integration model intended to be configured locally on each user’s machine (with Node.js and MCP utility), or is there a centralized/server-side deployment option available?
- Are there any recommended approaches for scaling this setup across multiple users in an enterprise environment?
