Can an existing general ledger cash account be mapped to a different subsidiary?

I setup a new money market account but did not choose the correct subsidiary so that the account's bank activity does not reflect in the general ledger activity. Is there a way to change the subsidiary in the chart of accounts for this particular cash account? If it can't be modified, do I need to create a new cash account and then how do i merge the existing information to the new account number?
