Hey all,
We're in our release preview account for Netsuite Next and the feedback has been really poor so far. The redwood theme adds a ton of inconveniences littered across the UI (the menu navigation, little things like the "Print" button being hidden in a menu, etc.), and the lack of color customization is a big loss for users with multiple roles. I can't say how much is just "resistance to change", but so far I can't argue with much of frustration with the Redwood UI.
I haven't seen a compelling usage of "Ask Oracle" yet either. It's wild that the documentation specifically says this in the tips:
- Ambiguous terms - Vague business terms like "open" or "delayed" can deliver unexpected results.
when "open" and "closed" are both existing terms used in native filters across Netsuite. I can't imagine what the point is if the AI is less capable than the native UI is…? In what world should I be recommending that users manually type out the full explicit criteria of a saved search to get accurate answers from the AI? At that point it is faster to just make a new saved search. It can't even use the labels of custom fields to answer questions without explicitly naming the internal id of the field? Seriously?
We could make a custom tool with more common sense and utility than this in a couple hours, how is this the grand reveal of an AI agent made specifically by Netsuite for Netsuite? Is anyone having a positive experience trying Netsuite Next?
