As a dynamic online community, we encourage growth by creating an engaging forum where topics are discussed and shared. Here are a few reminders:
Gamification Do's
- Utilize the search bar to find similar kind of questions/discussions that already exist. Use keywords or popular tags so that you can check related topics.
- Take advantage of Type Ahead feature. When typing the Title or Question in the Ask a Question form, similar questions/discussions will appear. It's best to review them first to avoid duplicates.
- Create discussion threads to discuss your awesome ideas, helpful tips such as alternate solutions and best practices.
- Be respectful when posting threads or replying to other members. Remember that we are in a professional business community.Show gratitude to other members who helped resolve your concern. You can do this by:Saying "Thank You". It's nice to have your questions answered, but it's best to say to a member that you are grateful for their help.
- Clicking Yes in the "Did this answer the question" below the comment that helped you. You can also mark multiple comments as Accepted Answers.
- Reacting to a comment. This is another way of appreciating another member's insights on a discussion. You can choose one reaction per comment; Awesome, Insightful, Agree, Like and LOL.
- Set Notifications to be informed when your question is answered or if there are any comments to it. You can also be notified when a member marks your comment as an "Accepted Answer".To do this, click on your Profile > Edit Profile > Notification Preferences then mark the checkboxes of certain actions you want to be notified on.
- Follow Categories that interest you or are within your area of expertise. You will be notified whenever a new questions/discussions posted in that category and you can answer them or share your insights.
Gamification Don'ts
- Refrain from asking repetitive questions which are already answered in this knowledge base.
- Avoid posting generic questions. Remember to give details and avoid posting confidential data.
- Don't ignore the replies and queries on your thread. Having detailed and engaging threads give context to other community members who subscribe to updates.
