Work with the CSV File Template

NetSuite QuickStart Edition provides a CSV template for each record type and operation you want to import. These templates ensure your data is formatted correctly for a smooth import process. 

Steps to Use the CSV Template 

1. Download the Template: From the File Import Dialog, download the CSV template for your specific record type and operation. 
   
2. Open and Edit the Template: Open the template in a program like Microsoft Excel. 
   
   Important: Ensure the delimiter in your editing software matches the delimiter set in NetSuite QuickStart Edition’s Import Preferences. For details, see Set Import Preferences. 
   
3. Understand the Template Structure: 
   1. Each column represents a field in the record.
