Diferencia entre el balance general y la valoración del inventario

Escenario
La valoración del inventario no es igual al saldo de la cuenta de inventario del Balance General y/o del Libro Mayor.
El total de un informe de valoración de inventario puede no ser igual al saldo de la cuenta de inventario de un balance general debido a las siguientes razones:
El informe de valoración del inventario se basa en las transacciones que afectan al artículo y su valor;
El importe del inventario en el balance general está determinado por el saldo de la cuenta del Libro Mayor;
Las transacciones que no están vinculadas a un artículo, como asientos de diario, facturas, cheques y depósitos, que utilizan directamente la cuenta de inventario, pueden causar la discrepancia.
