Al expandirse a nuevos estados, es habitual configurar ubicaciones de nexo adicionales para el impuesto sobre las ventas en su sistema.
Después de importar los códigos y grupos de impuestos estatales relevantes (SAID: 8045 Importación de la tabla de impuestos estatales sobre las ventas), todo parece estar configurado correctamente. Sin embargo, si el impuesto sigue sin aplicarse a las transacciones, hay un paso que suele pasarse por alto: asignar los nuevos estados de nexo a las filiales correspondientes.
En sistemas como NetSuite, los estados de nexo recién añadidos no se vinculan automáticamente a todas las filiales. Cada nexo debe asignarse manualmente a las filiales específicas que operan en esos estados. Sin esta vinculación, el sistema no reconoce que la filial tiene obligaciones fiscales allí y, por lo tanto, no se aplicarán impuestos a las transacciones.
