@SANTOSH VIDHATE-Oracle , edit: you already have a question posted for this, stay in it, but provide more details, like the things I mention below. This is a 8 years old post. You better post a new question, providing enough information to give you answers not based just on guesses. Things like the part of the product…

Hi, A month ago you posted an idea for this same thing. Are you saying you posted the idea before to know if it was already possible or not?

If you keep having issues with your RPD, you could save it in the MDS XML format, edit the XML manually as needed to add the functional group values. I have the impression it isn't the RPD having an issue with it, but it's just the admin tool that is a bit weak on that aspect. If you edit the XML directly, it will be…

The first thing crossing my mind for a dynamic thing in "classic" is definitely a session variable: it is user-based, and because you want the logo to be user-based, you should have something (a database table? an application role?) allowing to define what the logo should be for each user. Then you use the session variable…

I did a quick test in the OAS 2025 (8.2) Model Administration tool (you said you are using OBIEE 12.2.1.4 but I don't have that Admin tool installed anymore). It's a bit … weird the way it works… Starting with no Functional Group at all, when you click on that cell, it does show the drop-down list to select a value. If you…

Direct link to CCC: It's a parallel, but fully independent from this, forum.

Hi, First of all, welcome to the Oracle Analytics community and forum. Do you mind sharing some extra details on what place would you want that dynamic logo? Because that could definitely influence the possible answers. You mean in Publisher report? Or you mean a "classic" analysis or dashboard or a DV workbook? Thanks :)

It's a different, independent (separate) forum, I have no idea what rules they did implement and how it works in there. Can't really help much on this, sorry. It's maybe a sync issue (logout - login, or a time-based sync in the background of some kind).

Hi, welcome to the Oracle Analytics community and forum. The page you link says it all… When you define security on objects, be default rules are applied with a OR condition. It isn't an issue when you have multiple roles on the same attribute (dimension), but if you have multiple conditions on different dimensions, you…

If you go to and click on the "Categories" top-menu, you will see it is split by Fusion application mostly. For each one (select the Fusion app you are using), you will find lot of categories inside, including "Reporting & Analytics", which to me sounds like a good place to ask where a given data can be found in Fusion.
-
Hi @Moriah O'Kelley , You can manage in the permissions who (app role or user) can use write-back. If you don't already an app role that perfectly fit the users you need to be able to do it, create a new one that you use just for being able to use write-back.

Hi, You should visit and ask in the matching category for your Fusion product. You are asking about Fusion data, not about Publisher. The Oracle Analytics community covers Publisher as a technical solution, but doesn't cover Fusion data, which is fully owned by Fusion, and covered in the parallel (but independent) Cloud…

If all your tables have the same structure, then the physical joins are all the same for all the tables, but they all need to have the joins. And from a logical point of view you only define the joins once, because all your tables are different LTS of the same logical table.

This shouldn't be an idea, it's a bug. The fake pop-up can't be resized by design. Oracle Support suggesting this is a request to improve UI and therefore should be an idea is not correct IMHO. The product is displaying text, but text isn't visible: it is a bug. @Benjamin Arnulf-Oracle , any chance to expedite this one to…
-
That's exactly my point: they say they replicated it, they clearly saw the text is truncated. This is the definition of a bug. But they call it an improvement of the UI. Well, you aren't asking for the UI to be improved, you are asking to be able to read all the text "they" are displaying in it.
-
Did they tell you to create an idea for a visual bug? You aren't asking to add emoticons to those labels, you are asking to be able to read them. It's a bug, that's what it is. (upvoted, even if it definitely shouldn't be an idea but a bug they fix in the next bundle patch)
-
Since we cannot create joins as per out table structure Mmmhhh, why? You maybe have no physical join, but you still can have logical joins. If you have no joins, then your measure tables contains only measures, but it would be meaningless measures if they have no attributes. And in your fragmentation rule you write:…

Thanks for sharing Chad. Not sure I will buy that argument, mostly knowing FMW for OAS 2025 is the same exact one used for any OAS release so far (the 6 of them existing). But now all of a sudden the same FMW binary comes with an extra port required somehow… Ok, let's take that reason and call it a day, nothing will change…

Thanks Alex :)

@Alex Rubin-Oracle , if OP got the answer and it wasn't one previous posted here, it would be useful for the community to share it here. Then OP can mark it as the answer to the question and all other users will benefit from it when opening this thread. Thanks :)
