The security can be based on the USER who changes the property. IF the user has full control on the connection already granted when they start inspecting it, THEN they can modify access without re-entering the Connection password.

Just to confirm: this provides a customized URL/Link for end users to bookmark, but if they look at the URL bar once they are signed-in, they will see the "out-of-the-box" URL. Correct?

When a user has visibility on a lot of different folders where there are dashboards, their Dashboards menu is crowded. This would help them customize their preference, hence have a better User Experience.
