OAC support dataset creation only from tabular type data like txt, xls, csv but not from the hierarchical such as XML or JSON, it should support these datatype as well. Once we have this support, we can also provide support to create the DATASET from the output of a REST API

We are using JSON for metadata support on process traceability. OIC generates traceability data with some standard schema (users, process ID, etc...) and is stored in dedicated DB. General metadata, that strongly depends on specific process, is transformed in JSON format and stored in a DB. Now we need external application that has to support JSON import in OAC.

I don't think, that this Idea should be in Delivered status : there is nothing in OAC September release update, mentioning API extension for data set creation (except reload datasets based on connections).
