Description

In the Inspect tab for a dataset it is possible to setup a schedule for indexing a dataset based on reload or on a schedule. Weekly is the least frequent.

There is no option to run the index now as a one off, i.e. on demand. This is really useful when you are changing settings and want to immediately test. Also there is no way to see when the dataset was last refreshed or if it was successful (other than going through the admin page).

 

 

Use Case and Business Need

If there was an on-demand index version it would also be good to have it supported by api.

 

This change aligns to the typical workflow of loading and analyzing data.

More details

I can setup a schedule for 2 minutes in the future and go and disable it later (if I remember) as a workaround. It's more effort though.
