Ability to use Column Selector in DV (same as OBIEE)

Description

'Column Selector' option in available in OBIEE (below image) and this would be very useful to be added in DV as well (or a similar feature).

Use Case and Business Need

Feature will provide a lot of utility in DV and can save up space in your canvas (i.e. create only one visualization and toggle between options, instead of having multiple visualizations).

This would be extremely helpful for making analysis a lot more dynamic for "non-author" users. DV is becoming the go to solution in OAS for reporting. Column selectors allow the users to be able to select the analysis they want to see without having to know how to modify the views with full author access in Visualize. This just isn't a reasonable ask to have executives take the time to have to dig through large subject areas for metrics/dimensions (our subject area has 1000s of metrics and dimensions).

Column selectors allow authors to create reports where they can collapse many metrics into a single visual/pivot and quickly and easily give users flexibility in how they want to see them.

We can use Presentation Variable Plug-in (From Extensions) to achieve this kind of functionality.

It would be very useful (esp. for creating easy to use but still flexible pre-defined dashboards for consumers)!!! We have customer who is using classic dashboards. They could be interested in migrating to the DV but due to the lack of such functionalities like column selector they are not fully convinced.

Column selector use cases can be implemented using the new feature in OAC - Parameters.

Parameters is GA with OAC March 2023 update and for OAS customers is available with the annual 2023 update.

Parameters in DV allows you to implement the use cases for presentation variables in Classic BI.
