Description

Currently, the order of the columns in the dataset depends on the order used when creating the data set. There is no way to adjust the order once the data set is created. Especially if a new column is added to an existing dataset, it gets added at the end and is difficult to organize without having to completely rebuild the dataset from scratch.

Similarly, when creating a data flow, the order of the column is determined by the order used to select the columns, there is no way to organize them. having an ability to reorder the column would help in organizing the dataset more efficiently.

We have two of the three requests on the roadmap -

1. New columns will be created next to the selected column, instead of getting added at the end.

2. We are adding the ability to re-order columns in Data Prep.

Currently - there is no plan to allow column reordering in Data Flows, but we will consider it as a roadmap candidate in the future.

In addition, it would also be very helpful to be able to reorder the Data sets in a project, currently,They are ordered based on the order of them being added to the project. custom order for ease of use and keeping the projects consistent would be great.
