More freedom with display label text for parameters in BI Publisher data models.
Description
When creating a bi publisher report, you can use parameters so users can filter the data as needed.
However, we have reached limitations in the display label for the prompt. Sometimes, it would be beneficial to provide a description of how to use the prompt and sometimes that may include special characters. Currently, if special characters are added or if the display label is too long, the label is not supported (instead of getting an error message, it just doesn't seem to save).
Use Case and Business Need
Sometimes we want to allow the user to be able to do more advanced filtering as needed. One example is letting the user type in the first letter of the department and return all departments that start with that letter. The prompt would also allow them to enter in the full name of the department. A brief description of the functionality would be helpful, but currently a description like this is not supported.
