The classic analytics products contains a privileges page in administration.  This enables us to provide fine grained access and control security.  We need a similar page for DV.  We need to control fine grained access to Data, Data Upload, Project creating, data flows, schedules, etc.

If this can only be done in the policy area in weblogic, then please improve the documentation on how permissions effect the feature use.

 

Use Case and Business Need

Secure sites needs to control who can load data, and make that data available to others.

To prevent the system becoming overloaded, the number of users who can upload data needs to be restricted.

The current system may be suitable but the documentation on permission setup in weblogic - in the policy area - is not available.

To have more fine-grained control over functionalities in DV (similar to Privileges setup for "classical" OBIEE) is very desirable feature.
