Migrate Individual Datasets From One Environment To Another In Oracle Analytics

Organization Name (Required - If you are an Oracle Partner, please provide the organization you are logging the idea on behalf of):
Fort Dearborn Company
Description (Required):
We should be able to migrate Data Sets created in OAS/OAC DV from one environment to another.
Use Case and Business Need (Required):
This is a basic, intuitive feature that you would expect. If you have a number of data sets defined in an environment like a sandbox and then want to move them to production, it's doesn't make sense that you would have to recreate them manually again in the new environment.

Thank you for posting your idea.
Datasets can be exported and imported as part of Workbook (Project) export. When a Workbook is exported from a Dev / Sandbox environment, all datasets used in the project are exported and the same can be imported in Production environment.

Pravin,
Thanks for responding. It just didn't occur to me to check Project export. I tested this and it seems to have worked. This is obviously good, but I would still say that there should be an option to just move the data set from one environment to another.
Thanks,
Manish

Definitely agree - required in our organization as well - along with "functionality" (during import on target environment) to keep namespace/owner of imported data sets from source environment on target environment - see Idea: https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/604674/preserve-namespace-owner-of-ds-connection-during-dva-package-deployment.
