When creating a new calculation the help is not always very helpful. e.g. the "Cast" function help is ....
Cast
Changes the data type of a value or a null value to another data type.
CAST(expr AS type)
expr is any expression.
type is any datatype.
Example: CAST(hiredate AS CHAR(40)) FROM employee
It would really help if there were examples and even a wizard on the different cast options Date etc. The whole of the help could be greatly improved and enhance the end user experience.
Use Case and Business Need (Required):
Creating calculations can be time consuming when having to leave OAS and search manuals etc for calculation syntax. Improving this would improve user experience and productivity.
