In OAC Data Visualization, the number format for an amount/number is always shown in US format (comma for the thousands separator and point for the decimals), however, the commonly used in Europe is different (comma for the decimal separator and point for the thousands) .

A customer in Europe is requesting to have the amounts shown in the common format used in Europe (comma for the decimal separator and point for the thousands).

Is it planned to have this incorporated in the OAC DV?

I had assumed this was approached as sensitive to the local OS configuration. e.g., on MS-Windows, use the local config provided by the current user profile. I am not located in a 1.234,12 country right now, but in a 1,234.12 country. so ... the format "works for me, here".

The current format for currency in OAC actually offers a list of countries and their currencies but does not seem to apply the decimal char and the thousand separation chars according to the country's culture or standard formats.

Example, for Argentina, the format would be 1.234.567,12; OAC offers ARS/AR$ as Currency Format, but it displays thousands separated by commas and a decimal period instead.

Suggestion: MS Windows seems to have a good approach to formatting currency. IMHO it is worth looking at how they did it, when it comes to adopting a currency format/mask.

This is quite infuriating. Government agencies can't just accept that this is the only "default" availbable American number format!

I wonder why no one from OAC Product Management is acknowledging this issue. There are several other ideas on similar lines submitted by other users (including myself), but none of them are reviewed by PMs yet. Quite frustrating. I even raised an SR for it, but was told that this should be raised as an enhancement request
