Presentation variables are not working

HI,
we are using essbase as a data source.
we are using dashboards as a platform for all repoting purpose.
For last 1 months all presentation variables are working as expected.Just recently stop updating in the report even after I click apply button twice.Basically old variable value(could be default value) is not updating In the report header.
anybody have any solution for this? What is causing this? We haven't touched anything in that.
i Cleared regular cache, but no luck. Suggest me if I need to clear any temporary files
