Dashboard Prompt to dynamically change based a Report

Question

Is there a way to make the Dashboard prompt be dynamic based on a results of another Analysis.

My main goal in mind is to create a table that group individual of their customer/client using BIN,  This table will serve as the single point of updates.

My current workaround is to manually run a report with its corresponding filter -> go to advance tab -> copy the SQL -> paste it on the dashboard prompt [ Choice List Values]

and [Default selection] using SQL Result option .

This customized dashboard prompt will then use to filter other reports.

In conclusion. I would like to know how to automate this process just be modifying that one report.

Thanks Thomas for the input. Unless client open up the write-back option which I know most client will not go to that route due to security and integrity of the data.

Better off creating an entry system so someone can manage the grouping/binning in a database table, you model it through the BI RPD, then it's as good and current as the steward maintains it.  OBIEE is not designed as a transactional or a data entry system.
