Uploading on-premise data-model to Oracle BICS - Change of Physical DB Connections to Cloud DB Servi
Summary
Uploading on-premise data-model to Oracle BICS - Change of Physical DB Connections to Cloud DB Service
Content
Hello,
Can anyone please help me with the below query?
I am trying to uploading on-premise data-model (rpd) to Oracle BICS using the steps mentioned at
http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/cloud/bics/liftshift/liftshift.html.
The above Oracle's documentation says
"In the Connection Pool dialog box, modify the Data source name, User name and Password to connect with your Oracle Database Cloud Service (Database as a Service) instance. All databases in an on-premises data model should be of type "oracle" and only Oracle Call interface (OCI) is supported for uploading an on-premises data model. Ensure Default (OCI 10g/11g) is selected as the Call interface. Click OK."
1) How do I get Data Source Name, User Name and Password for Oracle BICS Database Service? I want my data-model developed in on-premise should look for 'Oracle BICS Database Service' connections. Where to find this information?
Thanks,
Santosh
