Created a BI Publisher report using the OBIEE Analysis as a data source. First created OBIEE analysis and added it to a dashboard. Then using the  "Custom Print Layout" option in the Print Options on dashboard, created a custom layout that automatically created a BI Publisher data model and Report. Then created additional RTF templates on that BI Publisher report. Now those new templates are made available from the print options section to print the report in a PDF format.

This dashboard URL is currently being called into a custom application using the GO Url, so when they click on it opens OBIEE Dashboard in a separate link. They can either print the dashboard or the custom layout manually.  This is working as expected.

Now the requirement is to get the BI Publisher PDF using a link that takes in parameters to filter data. The dashboard parameters are currently working fine when i embed the BIP Report on dashboard or also via the custom print layouts.

But the users want to call a URL that can take in parameters to filter the data and generate the BIP Report output in PDF format.

Currently no parameters defined in BI Publisher data model as it doesn't support.

Please let me know if you anyone has any ideas.

You could get a link to the BI publisher report (similar to GOURL) from the report menu drop down. The link has parameter included along with other options for output type, template etc..

Thank you for the response. Yes I am using that link only but the link is not showing the OBIEE Parameters in it. It just shows the "_params_dashboardexpr":"" in the URL.
