How to show State name / value in the map.

I am trying to use DVD 12.2.2.0 to populate the map with State abbreviation and value that goes with it. and until I mouse over to the state map, it won't show anything. its just colored map that I see.

Any one figured out how to show those values?

Anyone? now I upgraded to 4. and still no such options.. I am now comparing with Tableau, there is an option for it. but their map control is not good as Oracle DVD in my opinion.

Follow the link above to instructions on how to edit map properties.  Change the Background map type to Oracle or OpenStreetMap they both show political boundaries and labels of states/provinces and countries.
