Hi All,

Is there any documentation on how to use BI Publisher 11g java api to generate a report in xlsx format using rtf template and data definition file?

Our current implementation is based on xml publisher api but that doesnt support the xlsx format .

We are planning to migrate the code to use BIP 11g api but documentation on java api is very sparse.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not quite sure if i understand you´re issue.

Looks to me there are two issue in you´re post:

generate a report in xlsx format using rtf template and data definition file

and

migrate the code to use BIP 11g api

right?

Kavitha_CP-Oracle has provided you a good document that helps you get started to use/test bip api´s with some good guidelines like using soapUI, etc...

As for the code i suggest Oracle BI Publisher Consulting: How to Run a Report with BI Publisher Web Service? .This was useful for me (although i am using bip 12.2.1.3) to develop java code to consume the api methods.
