The new features video that you have posted is for Oct update of DVD 4 (12.2.4.0.0). The Jan 2018 update is 12.2.4.1.0.

Yes it's the V4 one. There isn't a 4.1 one. It was more an explanation for Mark.

Thanks Christian. I was still using "Version 12.2.4.0.0-20171024214116" - i've just launched it now and it says "your DV Desktop is upto date". I assume .1 is minor bugfix?

Correct .x releases (Version 12.2.4.1.0-20180103110054 in this case) are generally defect fixes, cpu updates, etc... sometimes some limited features slip in to make them available sooner.
In this case, support for MacOSx High Sierra (10.13) and Coloring the map shape using dimensions or attributes as user12169722 posted the video from the Oracle Analytics channel.
