Hi All

Kindly, I have business requirement as following:

• to send email to our customers email with attached PDF file and html body,

 

this is how I did this:

• I developed new report in BI with Bursting option as a PDF,
• RTF template
• I am passing the email body as an html format, and following are the other parameters:
  • PARAMETER6_ATTACHMENT --> true
  • TEMPLATE, --> RTF
  • LOCALE, --> en-US
  • OUTPUT_FORMAT, --> PDF
  • DEL_CHANNEL --> EMAIL
  • PARAMETER6_ATTACHMENT --> true
  • PARAMETER5 --> EMAIL_BODY HTML formate

 

my issue:

• Email body not appears as an HTML and html code appears in the email body

 

Bi version: Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.7.140114  (build:20131213.1635)

Hi Mohammad,

It is possible to have HTML message body. For this you need to install the patch "20563624 - HTML LAYOUT EMAILS FROM BURSTING IN BIP STANDALONE" which is available for your BIP version.

Hi Mohammad,

There is no workaround. The functionality is brought bu the patch only.

The patch has to be applied in the normal way, using opatch.

Did you get a solution of having email body from rtf template and attach another file on the email using a template.
