Merging templates in BI Publisher based on condition
Summary
Merging templates in BI Publisher based on condition
Content
Hi,
I was unable to find any documentation or examples for merging reports in BI Publisher. I am wondering if it's possible to merge two or more .rtf templates in BI Publisher based on a condition, for eksempel if in Document 1, parameter "Merge" is YES so merge it with Document 2, else don't.
If it's possible, do the data models of Document 1 and Document 2 have to be linked?
Would greatly appreciate some help.
Best regards.

I don't think that's what's planned for BI Publisher.
But you can achieve this but "merging" your two data modells into a single one.
Then you can gerenate your two reports as sub templates and a report which data source is the new data modell can call these sub templates conditionally

Thanks, Sven-BIP. That explained what I was wondering about.

merging reports in BI Publisher if it's possible to merge two or more .rtf templates in BI Publisher based on a condition
use sub templates to call other template within one template based on condition.
create two rtf templates rtf1 and rtf2 then open rtf1 and call rtf2 using RTF conditions.

note you should treat sub template as one rtf template.
merging reports in BI Publisher.T
create rtf template for two reports within one RTF template one after other
