DV desktop connection creation issue

I have DV desktop Windows version 12.2.4.3.0 installed on Windows 7. I am trying to create a new connection using connection type "Oracle Applications". It gives me error "Failed to save the connection". Get this error even when I am trying to create database connection. All these connections were working fine with earlier versions. In fact with the same credentials when I tried it on Windows 10, it worked. Has anybody come across this error earlier? Any help is appreciated.
