Summary

Is it possible to hide various Home Page options on Oracle Managed OAC "classic"? Our on-premise OBIEE has removed the Download and Most Popular.. options

I'm guessing the answer is no because it involves modifying OBIEE message files... but we'd like to remove the Most Popular and Download options from OAC Oracle Managed Classic home page.   See screenshot.

Yes you can. You need to modify the bieehome.htm in .../bi/bifoundation/web/msgdb/pages/bieehome/

The whole <!-- Favorites --> section is the "Popular".

And then look into the tr idBIGetStartedLinks - the downloads are in there.

Sorry Doug, my brain read "classic".

"OAC Classic" is customer managed. "OAC" (ex autonomous) is Oracle-managed while you meant "classic" to mean /analytics instead of /dv.

Long story short: No chance there at the moment.

No problem. I wish OAC would remove Open Classic Home as the dropdown choice in DV for what should be called OAC OBIEE.

Didn't think it was possible.  Will add it to the list of missing "features" in Oracle managed.

Or, in hindsight, imagine if they had just made obiee do some of the things DV does and make it work in the cloud?
