No. By product design, OTBI/OBIEE uses RPD metadata to build analyses. BIP is the product which is integrated with OBIEE catalog, hence you are able to build BIP reports based on OBIEE analyses and not the other way around.

I wonder why you wanna do that as you can directly build a report in BI using OTBI subject areas ( choose Oracle BI EE as data source)

Thank you all for your replies but the thing is i have a requirement where one dashboard should be created consisting of various analyses and the data for the analyses will flow from BIP Detailed Report. For example if there are some scores in BIP Detailed Report then i want to create one analysis having ranking on the basis of that score. Similarly multiple analyses are to be created.

It would be very helpful you guys know a way out.

Can you share your BIP Reports and the expected OTBI output.

Hi Rashmi,

have you tried to model same output via OTBI and you are unable to do so? ( I mean same output as you have in BIP Detailed report you are mentioning). Please share the query used and we might be able to help you with corresponding subject area in OTI/analysis.

Also, you can embed BIP reports within OTBI dashboard, so not sure on what is the expected output of above scenario.

You can use the Direct Database SQL option in the analytics to get the BI Query o/p in analytics.

This functionality is not supported in SaaS environments and does not comply with above request of embedding results into a dashboard.

Hi Guys

 

The requirement is based on goal management and performance management.

I have to create two analyses: one detailed analysis (Where score is to be calculated  based on some calculation logic on budget and actual targets)

Then I have to create another analysis based on scores of the detailed report and I have to rank each employee according to their total score %age.

This is how it goes.
