Hello,

We would like to know if there is an existing report in Oracle BI PUBLISHE/OTBI that display a list of all the
existing reports ? for example if we have a managers report , and employees report - to list them .
List of reports and their location , and if possible the fields displayed for each report.

Is there an existing build in report like the above?
if not - what would be the best way to create such a repot? (is there a subject area )

Are you referring to ALL reports or just the out of the box (OOTB) Oracle ones?

Reports are not in a subject area as they are in the catalog - however if you want to know just out the OOTB ones then have a look at these and goto 'Review Prebuilt Analytics and Reports':

Thanks a lot for your response.

Im referring to all reports - but most of our reports are OTBI  (and few bi publisher ) 

I meant - if there is a subject area that its content is the schema of existing reports and their information

is there such a thing ?

I'm echoing Mark's quest here—I’m on a mission to gather a list of all our custom reports, analyses, etc., including their paths and permissions. Now, I can’t help but marvel that in the grand year of 2024, Oracle still hasn’t blessed us with a slicker catalog management tool. Workday, if you’re out there, now’s your chance to shine! 😉

All jokes aside, if we don't have a ready-made report for this, is there an API I could tap into using Postman to fetch this data? What’s the endpoint? I've tried reaching out to Oracle support, but it seems they might be as in the dark as we are on this one.

Any insights or magical endpoints you can share would be greatly appreciated!

I'd forgotten about this - but Since 19A,logs of audit and performance tuning data for BIP are held for a period of 90 days and the OTBI usage and performance subject areas came in release 20D and report on a rolling 6 months’ worth of data - so you can see what is actually being used - but I will have a look at what is available for getting a list of all artefacts and let you know - Mark.

We do not have a single report that provides you with all the reports created.

Have you tried the "Auditing" feature available, where you will get the list of reports with the actions that took place with those reports?
