Upgrading Siebel Analytics 7.7.1 to OBIEE 12c

Hi,

We have a requirement in our project to upgrade from Siebel Analytics 7.7.1 to OBIEE 12c.

We want to know the recommended ugrade path and approach for the same.

The components to be upgrade are as follows

1. Siebel Analytics 7.7.1 to OBIEE 12.2.1

2. Siebel Business Anaytics 7.7.1 to OBI Apps 7.9.6.4

3. Informatica 6.2.2 to Informatica 9.6.1

Can anybody guide us in this matter ?

OBIA is the most critical ..

I had one more question - About BI Publisher and OBIEE 12c. Is BI Publisher supported / compatible with OBIEE 12.2.1.0 ?

I had read somewhere that there are some issues but not able to locate that document now.

Please advice. Any document / link for this would be useful.

Yes 12.2.1.0 also comes with BIP.

As far as OBIA goes you will have a multi-step process like for OBIEE but I can't tell you the exact steps you need to take. Minimum will be one intermediate step on OBIA 7.8 as the product has changed heavily over time. DAC 7.7 was totally different for example. Best contact Oracle themselves on that specific point in order to have a supported upgrade path.
