OTBI report and data role security
![Craig Hevey](https://us.v-cdn.net/6037859/uploads/defaultavatar/nT2GKTLRQJ3P1.jpg)
Summary:
Should an OTBI report using General Ledger - Balances Real Time subject area (linked to the Essbase cube) inherit custom data roles configured in SaaS?
Content (required):
We have created a number of SaaS data roles to limit access within OTBI reports to specific cost centres. This works as expected for all standard OTBI reports either out of the box or custom ones we create...other than a budget report we have created using the General Ledger - Balances Real Time subject area. No matter the secured data role we apply the report returns everything for all cost centres - even if we don't include a data role it returns everything.
In the documentation we've read it says that OTBI reports using Essbase should inherit any data roles assigned within SaaS but this does not seem to be the case.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this? There doesn't appear to be any obvious duty roles, privileges or DSPs to rectify this.

Hi Craig, could you please share the NQQUERY.LOG for this specific analysis which is not obeying the data security policies.
The log should tell us a bit more about what might be going on.
