OBI Scheduled Report to FTP Folder

Description
Currently we get the reports from OBI via email. But it will be good to have the agent send the output directly to our FTP/SFTP server.
Use Case and Business Need
Hi, We would like to have the report data out directly to our FTP/SFTP so that it will be easy for us automate the data to load in our target database and use it for data analytics purposes. With the current feature of report delivery by email, we need manual activity in placing the file in the folder. We want to override this manual activity.
Thanks,
Ila

Agree.
Taleo Learn BI reporting tool provides this capability.
For Taleo Recruiting OBI report, we forward report output to role account email box and then we have a VB script which downloads attachment and save the file to network location.
thanks

Hi Sami,
Thanks for your response. Can we get the sample VB script that can be used for downloading attachments from email box and place it on our network drive.
Thanks,
Ila

Hi IIa,
Similar ideas have already being posted and also reviewed by Oracle. Oracle should soon consider this and make it available.

Hi,
try this
- create ticket to open the fusion SFTP for the customer
- request to increase the BI report size limit if required (default is 0.5GB)
- update SFTP credentials in BIP
- set the output of the report to SFTP
- run the scheduled report

As of 01-DEC-2017 Oracle will Deprecate Oracle SFTP server. This is going to be an issue since the files to be stored in UCM

We had BO that option and we were able to schedule report in BO older. which also had the capacity to generate data more than 7MB ( 30 MB to 40 MB -.excel 2003)
Can we have the same option available here in OBI Folder scheduling option. So that users can browse to that folder download the data by themselves.

Ramesh

Only being able to send via email is really limiting on our use case

Hi Mike,
As a workaround, have you looked into defining a BI Publisher data model and report? You could base the BIP data model off an OTBI analysis and schedule the report with SFTP delivery. It changes where you look for the running BIP job vs. an OTBI agent, but that should deliver the file you want to the destination server.
Hope that helps,
Glen
