Increasing Accessibility of Graphs/Visuals
Organization Name
JPMorgan Chase
Description
Right now stacked graphs (and other visuals) in OTBI are not accessible to those with low vision, color blindness, etc. One way to remedy this is to include a "white line" that separates the stacked graph. Right now it visually looks like this COLOR 1 COLOR 2. What I am proposing is to put a white separator between the colors - COLOR 1 WHITE SPACE COLOR 2.
This same concept can be applied to pie graphs or any other visual where visuals physically touch each other. The best way to diagnose whether a visual is accessible is to ask oneself if there were no colors (i.e. all black) would you still be able to read the graph/visual correctly.
Use Case and Business Need
This will help graphs and visuals in OTBI (specifically stacked graphs) be accessible to persons with vision disabilites.
